Rifle Picks Up Fourth Straight Win; Defeats Maritime, 2196-2064, On Senior Day

New York, NY - The John Jay rifle team earned their fourth straight win, defeating Maritime College, 2196-2064, in the Big Apple Classic this past Saturday. 
 
With the win, the Bloodhounds improve to 6-4 on the season.
 
Prior to the start of the competition, four members of the team were honored on Senior Day - Quinn Hennessy, Leonard Lao and Eric Lopez. 
 

 
As for the competition, Danny Canning led the way for the Bloodhounds, compiling a total score of 564 followed by Lopez, who improved 14 points from to set a new season-high, concluding the match at 550. 
 
Lao also improved his score total, firing a total score of 541 as did Hennessy. 
 

 
Taylor Njemiec led the way for Maritime at 540. 
 
John Jay will be back in competition on January 21 as they will take on Army West Point.
