Women's Swimming Drops Home Conference Opener To Baruch On Wednesday Evening

New York, NY - The John Jay women's swim team dropped its CUNY Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) home opener to Baruch, 67-25, on Wednesday evening at the John Jay Pool.

Miranda Perez was the top finisher in the 100 Free, checking in with a time of 59.57, which was .37 off her season-best set against Saint Joseph's - LI

The quartet of Andreea Gheorghe, Anika Amdahl, Cami Achury, and Perez set a new season-best in the 200 Yard Medley Relay, posting a time of 2:09.15, surpassing their previous best time of 2:12.43.

Achury took second in the 200 Yard Free, posting a time of 2:19.26.

Gheorge rewrote her season-best time in the 200 Yard IM, posting a time of 2:47.42 to take second in the race.

The Bloodhounds will have a quick turnaround as they will be back in the pool on Friday evening as they will welcome William Paterson at 6:00 p.m.
