NEW YORK, NY -- The No. 2 women's basketball team defeated No. 7 CCNY, 64-24, on Sunday afternoon in the opening round of the CUNYAC postseason tournament at the Doghouse. With the win, the Bloodhounds improve to 15-8 on the season. The Beavers conclude their campaign 0-17.
For the third straight game, juniors
Bobbi Green and
Katie Healy registered double-doubles for the Bloodhounds. Green finished with a game-high 16 points, 10 rebounds, a career-high and game-high eight steals, and tied a season-high with five assists. Healy now has a double-double in nine straight contests recording 14 points, a team-high 11 boards, four assists, and three steals.
Freshman
Ashley Zeolla fell two rebounds shy of a double-double with 12 points and eight rebounds. Freshman
Ayanna Edwards poured in 12 points, to go along with five assists and three steals. Sophomore
Brianna Platia added seven points off the bench.
