Baseball's Regular Season Comes to a Close with Doubleheader Loss to CCNY

BRONX, NY -- The baseball team's regular season came to an end on Saturday afternoon, as the squad lost both ends of a doubleheader to CCNY at Ohio Field. The Bloodhounds lost game one, 6-4, and went on to lose game two, 15-5. John Jay finishes the year 6-30 (4-8 CUNYAC), while the Beavers close the 2022 regular season with a 7-23 record. 

Freshman Ivan Massari blasted his first career homer in game two, a three run shot to right field in the fourth inning. Freshman David Michalski had two hits and three runs scored on the day. Senior Christopher Nunez reached base safely three times and had a stolen base. 

The CUNYAC Baseball Tournament begins on Wednesday, May 4 with the play-in game. Day one will be on Friday, May 6.
