Box Score DANBURY, CT -- The women's tennis team lost 6-3 to Western Connecticut State University on Friday evening in Danbury, CT. The Bloodhounds drop to 1-2 on the season while the Wolves improve to 3-5 on the year.
In the second doubles spot, the duo of sophomore
Dakota Himaya and freshman
Kenya Kisson picked up their first victory of the season to get John Jay on the board. However, the Bloodhounds would head into singles play trailing 2-1.
Sophomore
Sarina Moi was dominant in singles onces again, winning in the first singles slot for the third straight match to open the season. Similarly, the freshman sensation
Rafaella Rybalko also picked up a victory in the second singles spot which was also her third consecutive singles win to open 2022. Unfortunately, the Wolves were able to pick up four wins in singles, to secure a 6-3 victory on the day.
John Jay's next match will be on tomorrow, when they will kick off CUNYAC play against Hunter College at 2:30 p.m. in Flushing, NY.
