Women's Swimming Splits Double Dual Against York And Lehman On Senior Night Tuesday

New York, NY - The John Jay women's swim team split its final home meet of the 2022-23 season on Tuesday evening on Senior Night.

The Bloodhounds picked up a 73-3 triumph over York College but dropped a 49-45 close contest to Lehman in CUNY Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) action at the John Jay Pool.

Before the start of the meet, the Bloodhounds recognized their 2023 Senior Class in a pregame ceremony.

The Bloodhounds quartet of Kira Englenton, Anika Amdahl, Cami Achury, and Miranda Perez turned in a time of 2:32.08.

In the 200 Free, Diana Castellanos touched the wall first with a time of 2:48.10.

Achury posted a first-place time of 1:13.84 in the 100 Backstroke.

The Bloodhounds final first-place performance came in the 200 Relay, as the foursome of Adriana Guzman, Daisy Hernandez, Castellanos and Amdahl clocked in with a time of 2:20.66.

John Jay closes out the regular season on Saturday afternoon as they will head up to Newburgh to take on Mount Saint Mary College and Purchase College.
