Men's Tennis Season Comes To A Close In CUNYAC Semifinals On Sunday

Flushing, NY - The John Jay men's tennis season came to a close on Sunday afternoon as the No. 4 seeded Bloodhounds fell to the top-seed Baruch College Bearcats, 5-0, at the USTA National Tennis Center.
 
With the loss, John Jay finishes the year at 3-10 and 2-3 in CUNYAC contests. Baruch, who improved to 11-5 on the season and finished 5-0 in league matches, will square off against the No. 2 seed, Brooklyn College, as the Bulldogs got past the No. 3 seed Hunter College, 5-0.

The pairing of Nikita Sadounichy and Samir Ghimire was outlasted at No. 1 doubles, 8-6, despite the comeback from the Bloodhound duo. 

Baruch went on to secure an 8-1 triumph at No. 2 doubles and went on to post an 8-0 victory at No. 3 to go ahead 3-0 in the overall match. 

Ghimire fell in straight sets at No. 3 singles before Nathaniel Barnaby dropped a straight set decision at No. 6. 

Sadounichy was up 5-4 at No. 1 when the match came to a close.
