Men's Soccer Blanked At WestConn On Wednesday Evening

Danbury, CT - The John Jay men's soccer team dropped its final non-conference match of the season on Wednesday, falling to the WestConn Wolves, 3-0.

The Bloodhounds fall to 1-6-1 on the season while the Wolves move to 5-2-2.

WestConn netted the first goal of the match in the 14' minute as Kamal Sabar was able to boot one past Davio Rossi-Levin.

The match remained at a one-goal deficit as Rossi-Levin made the stop on an attempt by Nicola Acocella in the 38'. The Wolves were credited with just two shots on goal and six total shots taken.

John Jay had their first shot attempt blocked in the 59' as Brayan Alvarez tried to find the tying marker for the visitors.

In the 62', Maria Parano had a chance but his shot was misdirected wide of the target. On the ensuing WestConn possession, the home team rattled off two shots, one by Romario Bunjai and Sabar, but both sailed high over the net.

In the 68' when Enzo Lagrassa-Gillet settled the ball from Jeffrey Norales as the Wolves increased their lead by two. WestConn tacked on a final score in the 81' as Acocella fired a shot just past Rossi-Levin.

Bloodhounds' captain Jonathan Granados booted a ball that sailed high over the net.

John Jay was outshot 23-3 in the match while Rossi-Levin recorded six saves on the evening.

The Bloodhounds open CUNYAC play on Wednesday, October 2 as they will host Hunter.
