Men's Tennis Drops Pair At Albertus Magnus To Conclude 2025 Regular Season

New Haven, CT - The John Jay men's tennis team dropped a pair of matches to the Albertus Magnus Falcons on Tuesday afternoon, falling 4-0 and 5-2. 

The Bloodhounds finish the year 2-11 while the Falcons move to 7-3.

Match 1 | John Jay 0, Albertus Magnus 4
The Bloodhounds were fought valiantly in doubles play, with the pairing of Samir Ghimire and Vladimir Ruzanov picking up a 6-4 win at No. 2 doubles over Peter Keese and Caden Pattison. Davio Rossilevin and Daniel Rosa fought back in the match before dropping a 6-4 decision at No. 1 doubles to Justin Arvelo and Diego Martinez Jimenez. The Falcons earned a 6-0 victory at No. 3. 

Albertus Magnus earned straight-set wins at No. 4, No. 5, and No. 6 singles. Ghimire was leading in his match, 5-0, before the Falcons clinched four matches.

John Jay clinched a victory at No. 1 doubles as the pairing of Rosa and Rossilevin defeated Arvelo and Bailey Kirwin, 6-4. Albertus Magnus earned a 6-2 triumph at No. 2 doubles and a 6-1 victory to take the first point of the match.

Ghimire concluded his season with a 6-0 victory at No. 1 singles over Arvelo while Rossilevin edged Kirwin, 7-6 (7-5). 

Rosa dropped a hard-fought match at No. 3 singles to Keese, 7-6 (7-3). The Falcons earned wins at No. 4, No. 5, and No. 6 singles to finish the match.
