Gettysburg, PA | Indianapolis, IN - The 2025 NCAA Division III Softball tournament saw its 64-team field revealed via the selection show on May 12 on NCAA.com. The 2025 tournament consists of two selection pools: automatic qualifiers from conference tournament titles and at-large berths.
Matchups begin Thursday, May, with the regional round and continue through the finals, ending Wednesday, June 4 at Inspiration Field in Bloomington, IL.
The newly minted CUNYAC Champions, the John Jay Bloodhounds, will participate in the tournament for the third straight year as they head to Gettysburg, PA, to square off against the Gettysburg College Bullets. Ramapo and MIT will be joining the Bloodhounds in Gettysburg.
The Bloodhounds claimed their third-straight CUNYAC title after defeating Baruch, 5-1, in the championship finale this past Saturday.
Lindsay Ogden posted her league-leading 13th win of the season and recorded her 15th complete game. She allowed one run on four hits, while walking four and striking out en route to being named Tournament MVP.
Gettysburg finished 38-6 on the season, earned their first at-large bid in program history, and hosted the four-team regional for the first time after dropping to Swarthmore, 9-2, in the Centennial Conference (CC) tournament. The Bullets are making their sixth NCAA tournament appearance, which will be the first-ever meeting between the two schools.
Ramapo (31-9) earned an at-large bid after falling to Rowan in the NJAC Championships, while MIT (28-10) won the NEWMAC championship with a 7-3 win over Babson.
