Flushing, NY - The John Jay men's tennis team dropped a conference matchup to Brooklyn College, 6-1, on Tuesday afternoon at the USTA National Tennis Center.
The Bloodhounds fall to 1-3 overall and 0-2 in CUNYAC play, while the Bulldogs improve to 4-3 overall and remain unbeaten in conference action at 3-0.
The Bloodhounds dropped two of three doubles matches to secure the opening point. John Jay responded at No. 3 doubles as
Davio Rossilevin and
Manuela Orrego delivered a strong performance, pulling out a 7-5 victory over Christopher Vasquez and Dylan Augustin to prevent the sweep.
In singles play, Brooklyn controlled the match, winning five of six flights. The Bloodhounds' lone point of the match came at No. 3 singles, where Rossilevin turned in a dominant effort, defeating Shender 6-0, 6-1.
John Jay resumes CUNYAC play on Wednesday, April 1 as they will take on York College in Jamaica, NY at the York College Tennis Courts.
