Nico Rivera is in his fourth season as an assistant coach for the baseball program. 

Rivera played four seasons at John Jay, including two under head coach Joe Mandile. In his career, the Brooklyn native made 29 starts, logged 167.2 innings, and recorded nine wins, eight complete games, and 108 strikeouts. 

At the plate, the 2015 John Jay Male Athlete of the Year started in 96 games, primarily at first base and DH. He recorded 89 hits, 41 runs scored, 23 doubles, five triples, three homers, 49 RBI's, and 26 stolen bases.
