Sean Gomes is in his sixth season as head coach of the cheerleading team at John Jay College. Coach Gomes has been instrumental in developing the program, focusing on teamwork and discipline. He is also pivotal in creating and developing the team’s routines and choreography for its performances at all home men’s and women’s basketball games.

Under coach Gomes' mentorship, the Bloodhounds’ cheerleaders have had tremendous success at the impACT Cheer and Dance Challenge, held annually at the Robert Collins Arena on the campus of Brookdale Community College, where John Jay has won the college division four years in a row.

Gomes is the Senior Graphic Designer at Verizon, a role he has held for the past seven years. He is responsible for collaborating with multiple teams and clients to support campaigns that have reached over three million customers across digital and retail platforms. He is instrumental in using data-driven insights to inform design decisions and enhance the project's visual components, while maintaining consistency and quality across all design projects.

Before joining Verizon, Gomes was the Senior Graphic Designer at Space NK, where he spearheaded the production of print materials, in-store displays, and packaging, and led the design of marketing campaigns, product launches, and promotional materials.

Gomes graduated from the University of Delaware in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Leadership. In 2013, he received a Master of Science degree in Information Technology - Design from Wilmington University, and the following year, he obtained a postgraduate degree in Graphic Design from Delaware College of Art and Design.
