Lauren Mallon

Lauren Mallon is in her second season as the head coach for the Bloodhounds. Previously, she was the assistant coach for the men's team during the 2013 season.

Mallon is a former four-year women's tennis player for John Jay during the years of 2008 and 2010-2012. The Staten Island native comes with a wealth of knowledge about the game of tennis and CUNYAC (City University of New York Athletic Conference) as well.

Recently, in preparation to assume the head coaching position of the women's tennis team, Lauren has been certified in Adult Development by Professional Tennis Registry (PTR). After completed a comprehensive examination, Mallon received the Associate Instructor rating. PTR is the largest global organization of tennis teaching professionals with 14,300 members in 115 countries. It has the greatest percentage of multicultural and women members of any such organization.

"She has excellent knowledge of John Jay, the CUNYAC and the game of tennis. She is also an extremely hard worker. All of those elements combined are a formula for success."
