Michael Moore

Michael Moore is in his second year as head coach of the John Jay women's tennis team. The Bloodhounds finished with four wins in their first season at the helm, highlighted by a back-and-forth 5-4 triumph over Brooklyn in the regular-season finale.
 
Moore has assisted in creating personalized developmental plans for high-level juniors at Player Development Consulting since 2019 and has served as an ITF/USTA Travel Coach, where he has developed multiple top-100 ITF juniors.
 
In addition to his work with Player Development Consulting and being an ITF/USTA Travel Coach, Moore worked for the John McEnroe Tennis Academy as an Elite+Pro/Program Director, where he coached, mentored, and trained juniors.
 
Moore's first foray into the coaching realm came in the Summer of 2011, as he worked with the New York Junior Tennis League (NYJTL). At NYJTL, he provided instructional tennis lessons to children ranging from ages 8 to 16. 
 
He got his first collegiate coaching gig in August of 2011 when he returned to his alma mater, Florida A&M, where he served as an assistant coach of the men's team. As part of the Rattlers staff, he was instrumental in the recruiting efforts while mentoring the team that finished the year with a 15-10 overall record and a 4-1 mark in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC). Florida A&M reached the MEAC Championship that season.
 
From Florida A&M, Moore accepted a position at Gotham Tennis Academy, where he was in the role of head tennis professional. At Gotham Tennis Academy, he coached, mentored, and trained players of all ages during group and private lessons.
 
Moore was recruited to Florida A&M as a student-athlete. He was a four-year team captain while amassing over 90 singles wins and 60 doubles victories during his time in Tallahassee. Moore was a MEAC Second Team selection in 2008 and was named to the First Team in 2010.
 
He graduated Cum Laude while receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science with a concentration in Economics.
