Jenell Stott-Hodge was promoted to head women's swimming coach at John Jay College of Criminal Justice effective August 2018. In addition, she was named the Aquatics Director in April 2019.
"I am honored and excited to take on my new role as the head coach," said Stott-Hodge. "Having been involved with this team for over six years as a student athlete, assistant coach, and now head coach, my goal is to advance our program to the best of my abilities."
Stott-Hodge is no stranger to the Upper West Side as she swam for the Bloodhounds for three seasons (2012-2015). Following graduation, she entered the coaching ranks serving as an assistant during the 2016-17 and 2017-18 seasons. In the pool, Stott-Hodge competed in the 50 free, 100 free, and 200 free.
Outside of John Jay, the New York native has been a technique coach at Splash Fit Swimming since 2015 and has worked as an Adjunct Swimming Professor at Hostos Community College.
She graduated from John Jay College in 2015 with a bachelor's degree in Forensic Psychology and minored in Human Services.
