Deanna Sannuti joined the John Jay College Athletic Staff in 2019, serving as the Assistant Athletic Director for Academic Success, Compliance & Eligibility before being elevated to Associate Athletic Director and Senior Woman Administrator in 2022.
 
Sannuti oversees the day-to-day operations of the compliance department for all 15 athletic programs and maintains a comprehensive compliance monitoring program, covering all aspects related to NCAA Division III bylaws.
 
In addition to her day-to-day duties, Sannuti directly oversees the S.A.R.G.E. (Student-Athlete Retention & Graduation Effort) program. She has provided academic support for nearly 220 student-athletes, which includes help with registrations, educational program planning, graduation/transfer support, and career guidance.
 
Since arriving at John Jay, she has seen the department's grade-point average rise from 3.0 to 3.3.
 
While acting as a liaison to the CUNY Athletic Conference and NCAA, Sannuti is a member of the John Jay Athletics Senior Staff and has direct supervision of the men's and women's cross country, rifle, and women's soccer teams. Additionally, she was selected and trained to be a facilitator for the Division III LGBTQ OneTeam Program, where the program has four main objectives - to understand the involvement of the NCAA and Division III in LGBTQ issues; to recognize the importance of LGBTQ inclusion in college athletics; learn common LGBTQ terms, definitions and concepts; to identify strategies and best practices for institutions and conferences to ensure all individuals may participate in an athletics climate of respect and inclusion, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression; and to develop facilitation and presentation skills. The program is designed to provide peer-driven LGBTQ educational programming directly to Division III institutions and conferences.
 
Before arriving at John Jay, Sannuti served as Assistant to the Director of Athletics at the Borough of Manhattan Community College. There, she assisted the Director with compliance interruptions related to NJCAA rules, including transfer waivers and letters of intent. Additionally, she managed and supervised all events for the department's six-team athletic program.
 
Sannuti graduated from SUNY Oneonta with a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communication with a concentration in production. She then graduated from Adelphi University with a Master of Science in Sport Management, concentrating in college athletics. 
 
Sannuti resides in Lawrence, NY, with her three-year-old Bernedoodle, Jax
