Madi Dembele is a New York-based sports journalist, broadcaster, and multimedia storyteller with a passion for dynamic, fan-centered coverage.
A 2025 graduate of Fordham University with a degree in Journalism and a concentration in Sports Journalism, Madi brings experience across print, audio, and video platforms.
As a freelance writer and reporter for TheLocalW and NetsRepublic, Madi has covered the New York Liberty of the WNBA, producing post-game analysis and breaking news across digital and social media channels.
In addition to reporting, Madi has served as a play-by-play broadcaster and analyst for several CUNY Athletic Conference members (John Jay, Brooklyn, CCNY) while conducting interviews with players and coaches, producing in-depth pre- and post-game analysis.
He honed his skills as an on-air personality and content producer at WFUV, Fordham University’s NPR-affiliate radio station. During his tenure at WFUV, he has contributed commentary and multimedia storytelling to New York’s longest-running call-in show.
