Ali joined John Jay Athletics as its Business Manager in June 2023. He joins the Bloodhounds after he co-founded Empty The Tank Athletics, in Brooklyn, NY, which began operations in May of 2023. Ali also serves as the varsity pitching coordinator for Archbishop Xavier High School.

Before founding Empty The Tank Athletics, he served as the Business Development Officer for The Baseball Center NYC. In this role, he gathered and analyzed technical data while managing over 75 accounts and coordinating logistics for sustained growth. Ali also served as Senior Project Manager at Roz-A-Lite Electric in 2020-2021.

Ali spent a season as the Promotions and Marketing Intern at the Brooklyn Cyclones, the Single-A minor league affiliate of the New York Mets, where he helped develop innovative marketing campaigns to drive fan interaction and boost ticket sales. In 2017, he was part of the staff that guided the Cyclones to the Larry MacPhail Award, named in honor of the Baseball Hall of Famer, who was a baseball executive who was considered an innovator in the sport, particularly in the areas of marketing and promotion.

He attended the College of Mount Saint Vincent, where he was captain of the baseball team and four-year officer of the Sports Business Club. As a member of the Dolphins, he made 53 appearances in relief while garnering four starts. He struck 66 batters in his four-year career and recorded a career-best five punchouts against Lehman back on April 18, 2017.
Ali graduated with a degree in Sports Management from Mount Saint Vincent in May of 2018.
