Women's Volleyball Sweps Past York

Queens, N.Y.— The John Jay women’s volleyball team defeated York College in the second game of a conference multi-match on Monday in three straight as the Bloodhounds won by scores of 30-21, 30-21, and 30-15.
 
Sara Altamirano (Bronx, NY / John F. Kennedy) paced John Jay with 11 kills, 12 digs, and five service aces, while Jennifer Gonzalez (Bronx, NY / Jane Addams Vocational) had five kills and five digs.
 
Katherine Higuera-McCoy (Jamaica, NY / St. Francis Prep) had 10 digs as the Bloodhounds had 45 digs collectively.
 
Erica Lee (New York, NY / Seward Park) and Anjanette Perez (Hackensack, NJ / Hackensack) had 11 assists apiece for John Jay.
 
Perez also served up three aces as did Andrea Medina (Brentwood, NY / Brentwood) who also had three kills and 12 digs.
