Women's Volleyball Falls at Mt. St. Mary's

Newburg, N.Y.— The John Jay women’s volleyball team fell on the road losing in three straight to Mt. St. Mary’s on Thursday as the Bloodhounds were defeated 30-13, 30-28, and 30-27. John Jay now stands at 4-7 on the season.
 
Sara Altamirano (Bronx, NY / John F. Kennedy) and Jennifer Gonzalez (Bronx, NY / Jane Addams Vocational) recorded a team co-high six kills in the match, while Gonzalez added three service aces and two block assists. Altamirano added two service aces and five digs for John Jay.
 
Anjanette Perez (Hackensack, NJ / Hackensack) recorded 11 assists for the Bloodhounds, and Nicole Brown (Baldwin, NY / Baldwin) had a team-high eight digs.
 
John Jay returns to action on Sat. Sept 22 at Centenary College at 3 p.m.
