Women's Volleyball Loses in Four at Centenary

Hackettstown, N.J.— The John Jay women’s volleyball team lost in four sets on Saturday as the Bloodhounds were defeated by Centenary College 17-30, 30-28, 23-30, 18-30 as John Jay is now 4-8 on the season.
 
Sara Altamirano (Bronx, NY / John F. Kennedy) paced the Bloodhounds with a team-high 16 kills, two service aces, and seven digs.
 
Jennifer Gonzalez (Bronx, NY / Jane Addams Vocational) contributed with 11 kills and four digs in the match, while Anjanette Perez (Hackensack, NJ / Hackensack) added 23 assists for the Bloodhounds.
 
Andrea Medina (Brentwood, NY / Brentwood) had six kills for John Jay along with a team-high 13 digs. She also nailed seven service aces. Nicole Colon (Baldwin, NY / Baldwin) dug up 10 digs in the match.
 
John Jay will return to action on Tue. Sept. 25 against New York City Tech at 6 p.m.
