Women's Volleyball Downs York College

New York, N.Y.— The John Jay women’s volleyball team defeated York College, 3-0, in its opening match of the City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) multi-match at Hunter College on Monday morning. John Jay won by scores of 25-16, 25-14, 25-13.
 
The Bloodhounds recorded 26 kills and slammed 22 service aces. Tatyana Yachnik had eight kills and two service aces in the contest, while Anjanette Perez had six kills and six digs.
 
Justyna Kopec, Katherine Higuera-McCoy and Erica Lee had six service aces each in the win. Kopec added five kills in the contest, while Higuera-McCoy had seven digs.
 
Andrea Medina led the Bloodhounds with nine digs in the match.
