Women’s Volleyball Falls 3-0 to Lehman College

Bronx, N.Y. --- The John Jay women’s volleyball team lost its final conference regular season match of the year as the Bloodhounds were defeated by Lehman College, 3-0, on Tuesday evening. John Jay finished the conference regular season with a sixth place finish and will face the No. 3 seed team on Tue. Nov. 4.
 
On Tuesday the Bloodhounds lost by scores of 25-22, 25-16, 25-19, they are now 7-19 (4-5 CUNYAC).
 
John Jay was paced by Tatyana Yachnik with seven kills, while Andrea Medina had four kills and a team co-high 10 digs. Erica Lee also chipped in with 10 digs and added 13 assists.
 
Justyna Kopec nailed five kills and added a trio of digs in the contest. Regelle Thomas recorded three kills in the match.
 
Lehman was paced by Gerri-Ann Martin with 11 kills and 12 digs, while Crissette Maxwell had six kills, five digs and two service aces.
 
John Jay returns to action on Thu. Oct. 30 for its final home match of the 2008 season against SUNY Maritime 6 p.m.
