Pomona, N.J.— The John Jay women's volleyball team lost three matches at the Stockton College Quad-match on Saturday. The Bloodhounds lost to Stockton College 25-13, 25-6, 25-9 before falling to Manhattanville College 25-17, 25-22, 25-22. In the third match, John Jay lost to Swarthmore College 25-4, 25-13, 25-17.
In the match against Stockton, Andrea Medina (Brentwood, NY, Brentwood)and Justyna Kopec (Nowa Deba, Poland, Franklin D. Roosevelt) had three kills each, while Medina added six digs. Siobhan West (Manhasset, NY, Benjamin Cardozo) had nine digs for John Jay.
Against Manhattanville, Kopec had 12 kills and Medina had eight. Erica Lee (New York, NY, Seward Park) had a season-high 26 assists. Medina also contributed a team-high seven digs.
Against Swarthmore, Medina had seven kills and five digs. Crystal Reyes (Bronx, NY, DeWitt-Clinton)also recorded five digs.
John Jay is back in action on Tue. Sept. 29 at the College of Staten Island at 7 p.m.
