Women's Volleyball Falls at Western Connecticut State

Danbury, Conn.— The John Jay women's volleyball team was defeated by Western Connecticut State 3-0 on Tuesday evening. The Bloodhounds lost by scores of 25-18, 25-15, 25-8 for their first loss of the season. They are now 1-1 this year.

Justyna Kopec had a team-high five kills for John Jay, while Andrea Medina added three. Medina also had a pair of service aces in the contest.

John Jay collected 24 digs in the match. Zadoora Carson had a solo block to go along with a block assist, along with Kopec.

John Jay is back in action on Thu. Sept. 10 for the 2009 home opener against SUNY Old Westbury at 6 p.m.
