Box Score vs. Baruch
Brooklyn, N.Y.— The John Jay women's volleyball team lost a pair of conference matches at the City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) multi-match on Monday. The Bloodhounds were defeated by Medgar Evers in five (25-23, 15-25, 25-16, 20-25, 15-11) before falling in three to Baruch College (25-10, 25-16, 25-21).
With the losses, John Jay is now 3-16 (2-5 CUNYAC) this season.
In the match against Medgar Evers,
Martina Hot (Academy of American Studies) and
Justyna Kopec (Nowa Deba, Poland, Franklin D. Roosevelt) had a team-high 11 kills each, while
Kathleen Estevez (New York, NY, Bayside) added six. Estevez added eight services aces and eight digs in the contest.
Crystal Reyes (Bronx, NY, DeWitt-Clinton) had 24 assists.
Against Baruch, Hot had six kills and a pair of service aces, while Estevez had 15 digs.
John Jay returns to action on Wed. Oct. 13 at the College of New Rochelle at 7 p.m.
