New York, N.Y.— The John Jay women's volleyball team lost a match at home on Monday evening as the Bloodhounds were defeated by SUNY Purchase 3-1 (21-25, 25-16, 25-16, 25-16).
With the loss, John Jay is now 2-13 overall, while SUNY Purchase is 4-6 this season.
Rosmery Martinez (Santo Domingo, DR, James Madison)led the way for John Jay with 10 kills and 11 digs. Meanwhile,
Renauta Sailsman (Spanishtown, Jamaica, HS For Health Professions)had 15 digs and two service aces.
Justyna Kopec (Nowa Deba, Poland, Franklin D. Roosevelt) added six kills, 10 digs and two service aces.
Kathleen Estevez (New York, NY, Bayside) had 11 digs, 17 assists and two service aces.
The visiting Panthers were led by
Rebecca Dittler with 13 kills, while
Michelle Fetky added eight kills, 12 digs and four service aces.
John Jay wraps up its 2010 home schedule with a match against SUNY Purchase on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
