Old Westbury, N.Y.-- The John Jay women's volleyball team was defeated by SUNY Old Westbury on Thursday evening as the Bloodhounds lost 3-0 (25-15, 25-17, 28-26).
Justyna Kopec (Nowa Deba, Poland, Franklin D. Roosevelt) had a team-high five kills in the contest to go along with three digs and two solo blocks.
Kathleen Estevez (New York, NY, Bayside),
Darlene Bueno (Bronx, NY, St. Raymond's Academy for Girls)and
Martina Hot (Glendale, NY, Academy of American Studies)had four kills each, while Hot added five service aces.
Crystal Reyes (Bronx, NY, DeWitt-Clinton)added 13 assists.
John Jay is back in action on Mon. Oct. 11 for the CUNYAC multi-match at Brooklyn College. The Bloodhounds will play Medgar Evers at 3 p.m. before taking on Baruch College at 5 p.m.
