New York, N.Y. --- John Jay College of Criminal Justice Department of Athletics has announced its annual homecoming has been set for Tuesday November 30, 2010.
An abundance of contests, prizes, activities and entertainment is in store for what promises to be a spectacular event.
The festivities will get underway at 4 p.m. in the auxiliary gym with a pregame party which will include food, contests, prizes and various activities including face painting and sign making.
Then at 5 p.m. the women's basketball team will take the court to face fellow City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) rival Hunter College, before the men take the court at 7 p.m. to face the rival Hawks.
A great quantity of events will be in store during the duration of the basketball doubleheader including performances from the newly organized John Jay Cheerleaders, Universal Image, The Debonair Steppers and Artist United.
There will also be great opportunities to compete for highly sought-after prizes, including John Jay gear, X-Box games and much, much more.
“I expect homecoming to have a great turnout. It is a great opportunity for former John Jay students to meet with current ones, while at the same time enjoying a great deal of entertainment,” said Director of Athletics Dan Palumbo. “Each year this event has gotten better and better and I expect this year's to set the bar even higher.”
Due to the high turnout expected, those interested in attending homecoming are suggested to arrive early as space is limited.
