Brooklyn, N.Y.— The John Jay women's volleyball team was defeated b y Brooklyn College on the road Tuesday as the Bloodhounds fell to the Bulldogs 3-0. John Jay lost 25-15, 25-11, 25-22.
With the loss, John Jay is now 1-5 (1-2 CUNYAC), while Brooklyn remains undefeated at 4-0 (3-0 CUNYAC).
For the Bloodhounds,
Justyna Kopec (Nowa Deba, Poland, Franklin D. Roosevelt) led the way with a team-high four kills and seven digs, while
Martina Hot (Glendale, NY, Academy of American Studies)had three kills and a pair of service aces.
Rosmery Martinez (Santo Domingo, DR, James Madison)had five digs and three service aces, while
Crystal Reyes (Bronx, NY, DeWitt-Clinton)had five assists.
John Jay returns to action on Thu. Sept. 16 for its 2010 home opener against SUNY Purchase at 7 p.m.
