New York, N.Y.— The John Jay women's volleyball team saw its 2011 season come to an end as the Bloodhounds lost in three straight (25-10, 25-13, 25-14) to Hunter College in the quarterfinal round of the City University of New York Athletic Conference / Con Edison women's volleyball championship.
With the loss, the Bloodhounds' season ends with a 3-24 overall record and an eighth place finish in CUNYAC play.
On Tuesday, John Jay was led by
Dulce Aybar with five kills to go along with six digs. Meanwhile teammates
Kathleen Estevez and
Martina Hot had four kills each.
Renauta Sailsman had a team-high 10 digs for John Jay.
Hunter was led by Christine Luebcke and Jaclyn Hadfield with eight kills each, while Lucia Stosic and Stephanie Taibe had seven kills each.
