Box Score 2 CAMDEN, N.J.— The John Jay women's volleyball team lost a pair of matches at the Rutgers-Camden tri-match on Saturday. The Bloodhounds were defeated by the hosts 3-0 (25-3, 25-13, 25-9) before falling to Marymount University 3-0 (25-8, 25-10, 25-5).
The losses leave John Jay at 1-10 overall this season.
Against Rutgers-Camden, the Bloodhounds were limited to three kills over the three sets.
Martina Hot,
Latanya Buckham and
Sarah Young had one kill each. Hot and Buckham had one service ace apiece in the match, while Hot and
Ashley Diaz added four digs each.
John Jay posted a -.263 attack percentage, with three kills and 13 errors on 38 attack attempts.
Rutgers-Camden was led by Olivia Rowland with eight kills.
The host Scarlet-Raptors registered a .345 attack percentage (26 kills, seven errors, 55 total attacks).
Against Marymount University, Hot led John Jay with four kills, while Diaz had three. Diaz added a match-high 11 digs in the match, while both had one service ace each.
Marymount University was led by Johanna Hummel with seven kills.
John Jay returns to action on Monday for the CUNYAC Multi-match at Baruch College. John Jay will face CCNY at 10 a.m. before taking on Baruch at 2 p.m.
