New York, N.Y.— The John Jay men's basketball team lost a close one on the road Wednesday evening as the Bloodhounds were defeated in overtime to Hunter College 73-72 at the Hunter Sportsplex .
The Bloodhounds were led by
Jerome Alexander with 35 points, while
Swindon Charles had a double-double of 12 points and 22 rebounds.
Isaiah Holman added 13 in the contest.
Hunter had a pair of players earn double-doubles including Panagio Koutsoloukas with 17 points and 17 rebounds, while Anthony Uter had 16 points and 10 boards.
Neither team led by six the entire contest as the game saw 16 lead changes and 10 ties.
Alexander, who was 13-for-17 from the free throw line, netted 2-of-3 with three seconds left to send the game into the extra session.
In overtime, Hunter led by as much as six and never trailed.
John Jay is back in action on Saturday for a home contest against the City College of New York at 5 p.m.
