John Jay College of Criminal Justice is excited to announce its second annual Baruch Invasion for this Thursday, February 9 at the ARC Arena at Baruch College, located on East 24th Street and Lexington Avenue.
This Thursday, when the Bloodhounds take on the Bearcats in a men's and women's basketball doubleheader, Baruch will be holding its annual Battle of Lexington event. The affair is Baruch's signature event each year, where over 1200 Baruch faithful come in droves and pack the ARC Arena to capacity in support of their Bearcats. There are contests, prizes and entertainment throughout the evening.
After last season's rousing success despite losing both games, the Bloodhounds are out for sweet revenge and play spoiler to the Baruch faithful.
There is a one section behind the John Jay bench, reserved exclusively for John Jay students, faculty, staff and family. John Jay fans are strongly encouraged to attend and fill the section with Bloodhound fans and cheer hard as the men's and women's basketball teams make a push for positioning in the 2012 CUNYAC playoffs.
The evening is set to get underway at 5:30 p.m. for the women's game between John Jay and Baruch, before the men take the hardwood at 7:30 p.m.
Admission is free and on a first come first serve basis. Because the event fills to capacity, fans are encouraged to arrive early to avoid being shutout.
Fans are strongly encouraged to wear John Jay gear.
