New York, N.Y.— The John Jay men's volleyball season came to an end on Tuesday evening as the Bloodhounds were defeated by Baruch College 3-0 (25-10, 25-12, 25-7) in the quarterfinal round of the City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) / Con Edison men's volleyball championship.
With the loss, the Bloodhounds' inaugural season ends at 4-17 overall and 2-12 in CUNYAC regular season play, good for a seventh place finish in the conference.
In Tuesday's match, the Bloodhounds were led by
Ching Wu with three kills (no errors) on nine total attacks for a .333 attack percentage.
Korede Griffith added two kills and had a dig and block assist.
Dale Hoa had five assists and five digs for John Jay.
Baruch College recorded a .492 attack percentage. The Bearcats were led by Steven Coniglio with 13 kills, three digs, two service aces and an assist. Meanwhile Jack McKee, Christopher Kaimis and Aviv Elias had four kills each. Eilas added four service aces for Baruch.
