New York, N.Y.— The John Jay men's volleyball team closed out their inaugural season's home and conference schedule with a loss on Wednesday night as the Bloodhounds lost to Brooklyn College (25-16, 25-14, 25-22) at the Doghouse.
With the loss, John Jay ends its 2012 conference season with a seventh place finish (2-12). The Bloodhounds are 4-15 overall with one regular season match remaining, a non conference affair at NYU Polytechnic on Thursday.
In Wednesday's match, the Bloodhounds were led by
Korede Griffith with five kills and two service aces.
Rashid Allah Morad chimed in with four kills and three digs, while
Frankie Galang had three kills, eight assists and five digs.
Brooklyn College was led by Kieran Halton with 12 kills (one error) on 16 attacking attempts for a .688 attacking percentage. Meanwhile Duong Thai added eight kills and two service aces. Gene Tom had 27 assists for the Bulldogs.
After Thursday's contest against NYU Polytechnic, the Bloodhounds, the No. 7 seed, will play No. 2 seed, either Baruch or York College on Tuesday April 10.
