Bronxville, N.Y.— The John Jay women's volleyball team was defeated by Sarah Lawrence College on Saturday afternoon losing 3-0 to the Gryphons. The Bloodhounds lost 16-25, 17-25, 21-25.
The loss drops John Jay to 1-7 overall this season.
The Bloodhounds were led by
Martina Hot with five kills, five digs and two blocking assists.
Katherine Bonilla added five service aces, 11 digs and 10 assists.
Hakimah Lovell-McFee chimed in with three kills, while
Ashley Diaz had three service aces and 11 digs.
Sarah Lawrence College was led by Zoe Spanbroek with eight kills, two service aces and 10 digs. Molly Busk added 13 digs and seven service aces for the Gryphons.
John Jay returns to action on Tues. Oct. 2 for a match at the College of St. Elizabeth at 7 p.m.
