JAMAICA, N.Y.— The John Jay women's volleyball team was defeated in a pair of conference matches on Saturday afternoon as the Bloodhounds lost to Lehman College and York College at the CUNYAC multi-match. John Jay lost to Lehman 3-0 (19-25, 17-25, 13-25), before falling to York 3-0 (17-25, 21-25, 17-25).
With the losses, John Jay is now 0-4 (0-2 CUNYAC) this season.
In the game against Lehman,
Martina Hot had six kills and four digs to lead the way for John Jay.
Hakimah Lovell-McFee and
Latanya Buckham added two kills each.
Katherine Bonilla and
Ashley Diaz had a team co-high five digs.
Lehman served 21 service aces in the contest to two for the Bloodhounds.
Against York, the Bloodhounds were led by Hot with five kills, three service aces and six digs. Meanwhile Lovell-McFee and Buckham had four kills each. Bonilla had 14 assists and nine digs in the contest.
John Jay's next contest is this Tuesday for a home match against Medgar Evers College at 6 p.m.
