Men's Volleyball Opens 2013 Season with Victory over NYU-Poly

NEW YORK, N.Y.— The John Jay men's volleyball team opened its 2013 season with a victory on Tuesday evening as the Bloodhounds beat Polytechnic Institute of New York University (NYU-Poly) 3-0, winning by scores of 25-20, 26-24, 25-21.
 
 
The Bloodhounds were led by Frankie Galang with nine service aces, 21 assists and four digs, while Juan Hernandez had nine kills (one error) on 19 attacks for a .421 attack percentage. Jack Palleschi had seven kills and five digs in the win.
 
 
NYU-Poly was led by Fild Kroqi with 14 kills, four servnce aces and six digs.
 
 
John Jay returns to action on Sat. Feb. 9 at the CUNYAC Multi Match hosted by Lehman College. The Bloodhounds will face the host school at 11 a.m., followed by Brooklyn College at 3 p.m.
