Box Score 2 The women's volleyball team lost both its matches on Monday morning at Hunter College as part of the CUNYAC Multi-Match.
The Bloodhounds were defeated by CCNY, 3-0 (25-21, 25-17, 25-14) and Baruch, 3-0 (25-9, 25-16, 25-14). With the loses, John Jay falls to 3-16 (1-5 in CUNYAC) on the season.
In the second match of the day, Baruch took the lead early on and finished the match in three sets. Sophomore
Qendresa Efendija led the way for John Jay with three kills, while senior
Martina Hot finished the match with two kills and two blocks. Junior
Katherine Bonilla also added eight assists, one kill and three service aces. For Baruch, McKenzie Davidson led the Bearcats with nine kills, while fellow teammate Rebecca Peralta added seven kills and a career-high 15 service aces.
The Bloodhounds will return home on Thursday, October 17 against Pratt Institute at 7:00pm at the Doghouse.
