The women's swimming team fell to Baruch College, 107-70, on Tuesday evening in the ARC Aquatic Center. The Bloodhounds fall to 3-3 overall (1-3 in CUNYAC) and the Bearcats improve to 5-2 (3-0) on the season.
"The defeat yesterday was only a temporary setback for my student-athletes," head coach
Jessica Whitley said. "The athletes know not to dwell on the loss, but to concentrate on the adjustments needed to be faster."
The Bloodhounds lone win came in the 9th event, the 400 meter freestyle, when freshman
Alyssa DeVito placed first with a time of 5:49.32.
"I am pleased with our times at this point in the season but they can always better their best," added Whitley.
The Bloodhounds return home for two conference matches on Tuesday, January 7 against York College, and Tuesday January 14 against Hunter College. Both meets are scheduled to start at 6 p.m.
The team will then head to Puerto Rico on a training trip from January 17 to January 21. Members of the team will be blogging and photos and information will be updated on the website daily.
