NEW YORK, N.Y.— The John Jay men's volleyball team was defeated 3-0 by York College (25-14, 25-9, 25-21) at the Doghouse on Thursday evening.
With the loss, John Jay falls to 1-2 (0-2 CUNYAC) this season, while York ups its record to 8-4 (1-0 CUNYAC).
John Jay was led by
Jack Palleschi with seven kills and six digs, while
Frankie Galang added 15 assists, three service aces and five digs.
Juan Hernandez and
Nicholas Anderson added three kills each in the contest.
York recorded a .312 attack percentage as a team and was led by Sebastian Francois with 10 kills. Meanwhile teammates Emmanuel Geffrard and Kevin Mora had eight kills each. Geffrard added six service aces and seven digs for the visiting Cardinals. Terrence Sutton had a match-high nine digs for York.
John Jay returns to action on Tue. Feb. 26 for a home contest against the City College of New York at 6 p.m.
