NEW YORK, N.Y.— The John Jay men's volleyball team was defeated 3-0 by City College of New York (26-24, 25-19, 25-18) at the Doghouse on Tuesday evening.
With the loss, John Jay falls to 1-3 (0-3 CUNYAC) this season, while CCNY improves its record to 5-4 (2-0 CUNYAC).
The Bloodhounds were led by
Jack Palleschi with nine kills and seven digs, while
Yevgeniy Remennik added 10 assists and five digs.
Nicholas Anderson also added nine assists and eight kills.
Frankie Galang pitched in with six kills, two assists, and two digs.
On the Beavers' side, Bryan Hu led the team with sixteen assists, while Brian Yik Lim added ten kills and six digs. Meanwhile, teammate Anthony Reyes added eight assists, while Rubin Taipi followed Lim with eight kills, along with three digs.
John Jay returns to action on Thurs., Feb. 28 at Lehman College for a CUNYAC Multi-Match. The Bloodhounds will play Lehman College at 6:30 p.m. and will face Brooklyn College at 8:30 p.m.
