New York, N.Y - The John Jay men's volleyball team earned a 3-0 win (25-20, 25-19, 25-14) over St. Joseph's Brooklyn at the Doghouse on Tuesday evening.
The win was John Jay's sixth in their last seven games as the Bloodhounds improved to 7-8 overall on the year. St. Joseph's Brooklyn falls to 3-11.
The Bloodhounds were led by
Jack Palleschi with 13 kills (four errors) on 21 attacks for a .429 attack percentage. He also contributed with a match co-high nine digs.
Frankie Galang had six kills (one error) on 15 attacks for a .333 attack percentage, seven service aces, nine digs and had a match-high 25 assists.
Korede Griffith and
Oshea Alexander both had seven kills, while Griffith contributed five digs.
St. Joseph's Brooklyn was led by Martin Torres with 11 kills and five digs. Fellow teammate Iqbal Husain contributed 18 assists in the contest, while Raul Urshela had six kills and two service aces.
John Jay returns to action on Saturday for a CUNYAC multi-match at the City College of New York. The Bloodhounds will face the hosts at 9 a.m. and York College at 11 a.m.
