Box Score Purchase, NY - The women's volleyball team lost a close match to SUNY Purchase, 3-0 (25-21, 25-21, 29-27), on Tuesday evening on the campus of Purchase. The Bloodhounds fall to 0-4 on the season while the Pioneers improve to 2-1.
Senior
Martina Hot and sophomore
Latanya Buckham led the way for John Jay with four kills each. Fellow teammates, junior
Ashley Diaz added 10 service aces on the night, while junior
Katherine Bonilla registered four.
For the Panthers, Alicia McCarthy pounded out 17 kills, while teammate Cathryn Mulvey had eight. Leticia Barrientos added five service aces on the night for Purchase College.
The Bloodhounds face Rutgers-Newark on Thursday, September 12 in Newark, NJ. The match is scheduled for 7:00pm.
