Box Score The women's volleyball team was defeated by Rutgers-Newark, 3-0 (25-11, 25-12, 25-20), on Thursday evening at the Golden Dome in Newark, New Jersey. The Bloodhounds drop to 0-5 on the year while the Scarlet Raiders improve to 3-2.

Ashley Diaz had a great all-around game for the Bloodhounds, recording 14 digs, three kills, and one service ace. Senior
Martina Hot finished with a match-high six kills and junior
Katherine Bonilla dished out a match-high 17 assists to go along with 10 digs. Sophomore
Latanya Buckham and sophomore
Jeanette Luna finished with five and four kills, respectively.
The Scarlet Raiders' Adrianna Pagnotta and Paulina Walega set the tone for the match, delivering five service aces each. Chrissy Campanelli and Maddie Moore added five kills apiece. Emilie Pulecio chipped in with 14 assists.
The Bloodhounds head to York College for a CUNYAC Multi-Match on Saturday, September 14. John Jay will face the Lightning of Lehman College at 12:00pm followed by the host York Cardinals at 3:00pm.
