The men's basketball team lost to Moravian College, 66-53, in the Championship game of the 36th Annual Greyhound Classic. The Bloodhounds drop to 4-7 (2-2 in CUNYAC) overall and the Greyhounds improve to 6-5.Â
Once again, junior
Kris Owens led the Bloodhounds in scoring with a game-high 22 points to go along with six rebounds. Junior
Korede Griffith poured in 13 points, a game-high five steals, three rebounds, and two blocks. Senior
Darryl Dennis recorded seven points, six rebounds, and one steal off the bench. Junior
Anthony Saldarriaga registered a team-high two assists. Senior Alexander Oshea picked up two blocks.
Greyhounds' Cameron Cullen had a team-high 11 points to go along with four rebounds and three steals. Blake English recorded 10 points and one block.
After the game, Owens and Griffith were named to the All-Tournament team.
"Kris (Owens) and Korede (Griffith) shot the ball real well this weekend," head coach
Otis Fenn said. "We need other players to step up next week with two upcoming conference games."Â
The Bloodhounds will head to Medgar Evers on Tuesday, January 7 for a conference game at 8:00pm.Â
