The John Jay rifle team was defeated by MIT in both small bore and air rifle before they outscored Wentworth in air rifle on Saturday in Cambridge, Massachusetts. In the loss to MIT, the Bloodhounds fired a 2221 in air rifle while MIT scored a 2227. John Jay's 2221 score for air rifle was good enough to defeat Wentworth, who finished with a score of 2023.  In small bore, John Jay was then defeated by the MIT Engineers 2141-2002.
 
Sophomore Ronald Kopec was the top shooter for the Bloodhounds firing a 557 in air rifle, while teammates Angelica DeAraujo and David Vegvari followed with a score of 556. In small bore, Kopec led the Bloodhounds again with a score of 537. Vegvari held the second best score, firing a 510.

The Bloodhounds are on the road again next weekend as they head to Albany, New York to take on Canisus and SUNY Maritime on Saturday, November 1.
