The men's soccer team closed out the 2014 regular season with a 2-1 loss to Lehman College on Saturday night at Randall's Island. The Bloodhounds finish the season with a 6-10 overall record and 5-3 CUNY Athletic Conference record. The Lightning went 5-10 overall and 3-5 in the conference this season.Â
The first half saw both teams getting scoring chances but both goalkeepers prevented the ball from crossing the line. Lehman's goalie made six saves in the half while senior
Vitecha Kochaon recorded three. John Jay outshot the Lightning 10-5.Â
The Lightning got on the scoreboard in the 49th minute to give the guests a 1-0 lead. With thirteen minutes left in the match, Lehman added their second goal of the game. However, the Bloodhounds responded three minutes later when freshman
Ricardo Llanos dribbled into the box and blasted a shot for his fourth goal of the season.Â
The Bloodhounds intensified the pressure in the final ten minutes but were unable to find the back of the net.

Alexis Bustillo each recorded four shots. John Jay outshot the Lightning 23-15.
Before the match, the Athletics Department honored five seniors playing in their final regular season game:

Sebastian Hernandez,
Vitecha Kochaon,
Yotam Bloom, and
Korede Griffith.Â
The Bloodhounds will enter the CUNYAC postseason with the number three seed. They will face Hunter College on Wednesday. More information to follow.Â
